Feedback on a much-needed improvement

When I add a new media library (1), the system will rescan all the existing media libraries (2), if I have a lot of media in my existing media libraries, this will be very time consuming, I don't know what is the purpose of doing this, I think it will only take up server resources, there is no other benefit.
