skorpyo 0 Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 I've installed the Emby package manually on my TS-464 and have the admin console up and running, but I'm stumped on how to add a Library. I have a "Media" volume that I've just created on the QNAP and have shared it as "Media" with subfolders such as "Movies". I created a user named emby and have granted it R/W access to the share. In the Emby server app I've tried to add a new library for movies. One issue is the QNAP is on my local network as "qnap.local" which the remote folder path structure doesn't like, but even just using the hostname I get an Authentication Failed despite resetting the password to something very basic. Am I going about this all wrong? How do I get Emby to see the volume i've created with the Media folder? Thanks for your patience and help!
skorpyo 0 Posted March 24, 2025 Author Posted March 24, 2025 Ok, so nevermind I figured this out... the emby app needed a restart on the QNAP and afterwards I was able to properly browse to the volume I had created from within the Emby server console.
