My Samsung plugin that has worked to perfection until recently. Now requires the token to be refreshed every 24 hours. It has stopped working a while ago and only now I got time to look into it.

Has anyone had this problem before and have you be able to overcome it with either another way to dim/undim lights?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe IFTTT and webhooks?

There's a Philips hue plugin in the catalogue that works well for me

Thanks.

I thought it was deprecated. I cant get it to pair with my hue bridge. I press the button and it does not find it.

Do you have a trick to pair it?

That would be good but unfortunately it requires a subscription to IFTTT.

I had to add the ip address of my bridge and then the plugin found it. You also need to create the scenes you want to use in the hue app.

Thanks! @WilhelmStroker  I tried to google and regoogle but I cant find a way to add the IP address of the bridge to the app. there is no config on the screen or I cant find any instructions how to add it somewhere else. Can you help?

I believe once it fails to find your bridge, and you try again it gives you the option to add the ip address for the bridge.

Hi @WilhelmStroker,

A million thanks. I was too impatient to let it timeout. I was going into a rabbit hole that I would have never got out of.

For some reason it found my bridge now without having to timeout. Works to perfection. much quicker reaction than the Samsung app. (I assume it did not have to go to Korea servers and Back). The solution is really elegant as I can setup effects such as fireplace for example on some lights.

Than you!

Regards,

Paulo
