Migrating from BSD - Backup Restoration from newer release- best practice?

OK I have some weirdness.

I just migrated to TrueNas Scale from CORE.

I have a perfectly fine install of Emby Version 4.8.11.0.

I have my permissions UID.GIDs all aligned, and I added all my libraries.

BUT - if I restore a backup from my previous installation: (4.9.0.41 under FreeBSD) - things get gorked. Specifically, I lose permissions for some reason and can't access libraries

Obviously, I think its the version mismatches here.

I don't REALLY want to try and rebuild all the metadata, users, etc.

I have access to all my old install's folders, etc.

Can I extract data from the backup? Can I manually overwrite the Metadata? Is installing the Beta the wrong move?

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated :)

Hi, you can't do this because the backup contains the 4.9 database file.

The closest that you can do is extract user data from the backup, which should at least get you watch data. So you need to create the users first, and then you can restore the watch data.
