However I have none of the problems that you experienced as it was straight forward. My suggestion uninstall Emby, using WinSCP go to the directory: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer and delete the directory EmbyServer. Shut down or restart the QNAP NAS and then reinstall the 4.8.11.0 version. My QTS version is: QTS 5.2.3.3006 and I have not updated to your version yet. It is often good to wait with updates until some time has gone by if there are problems. I was using just fine the beta version 4.8, untill few days ago when the server refused to connect anymore from any device (LG TV, Samsung TV, Windows, iOS). I upgraded it to beta 4.9 on top on the old beta one, the same, not loading. So I uninstalled the beta version and installed the "regular" one, 4.8.11.0. Now it starts, but there is no library anymore, it's blank, no history, no anything. I am trying to add the folders with movies, tv shows and music, and I get this message: "There was an error adding the media path. Please ensure the path is valid and the Emby Server process has access to that location. Got it", so impossible to populate the library. It seemed reasonable to delete the directory /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer, so I tried WinSCP but i cannot connect it to it, "Network error: Connection to 192.168... refused.", or "Connection failed. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Connection failed." unfortunately i'm not a networking specialist at all, so any other advice how to delete this directory, please?

But i figured it is hidden, so i typed it manually and ta-daaa there was the EmbyServer directory

Thank you, One2Go for the suggestion, for me worked llike a charm. but that doesn't mean i am not p1553d 0ff on the Emby programmers who made me lost my history of tv shows episodes i was watching and the latest movies i added in the past 2 weeks and i wanted to watch............ I didn't do anything, i didn't change anything, it just stopped working, without any notice, any advice what to do... We are not all computer geeks to figure out what to do next. Don't get me wrong, the app is very good, i really like it, but the forced updates oh man......

In my many years starting with Media Browser and now Emby I learned that once I have a stable version that works just fine I stop updating and use that version for my Home Theater. I did that with the last Emby Server that works just fine with Windows 7 and Windows Media Center. In addition I run the latest Emby servers on two QNAP NASs and see if there is anything that I like to replace my Home Theater version or run all of them in my theater. There is a reason why they are calling it the Bleeding Edge.
