Audio sync issues

Hey

I have had constant problems with my Shield 4k and audio sync. It got worse when i upgraded my projector to a jvc nx7. I have the onkyo rz50 connected through hdmi and i could not have perfect audio sync. Most movies have a 200ms delay. But last night i tried to watch a movie that had a 1000ms delay at least...It seems that no settings in the shield do anything. I have lyp sync enabled on onkyo. disabling it, is worse. I could not find any manual audio sync on it. Shield only has a delay sync. I don't know what to do anymore.

I am uploading the ffmpeg log from the issue

@razclud

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Thanks.

I think thats how i installed it on the shield, from the android app store,  i don't recall installing it from usb, unless the logs tells you otherwise.

OK, to be more specific, can you please try this app:

Thanks.

Hi.  Your Shield is an Android device and you can find that app in the store on that device.

That's actually not what I'm asking you to try. I'm asking you to try the app that's just called Emby.

This must be a skit somewhere lol

Do you mean on a phone/tablet? On my shield, the one in the picture is the only one available.

Please be more specific :)

What do you mean by a skit? I mean on the Shield, and yes, both apps are available on the Shield.

In the app store, the one i have installed, is the only one displayed when i search for emby. Like in the picture attached. Following the link you gave me is another version of it? Different from the one in the app store?

@razcludIn the Play Store, if you actually search for "Emb" (without the Y) you will see two results for Emby...

The team are asking you to install and try the one named "Emby for Android" without TV in the name.

You can install both apps and they will happily co-exist on the same device.

Hence the skit reference... thank you Sean!

Luke, this is how you should have said it. There are dummies like me around...

Not much change with the new player. Sound is lagging in most movies by 200ms-ish. This one in the video attached is the worst, 2 seconds delay.

OK we'll take a look at it. Thanks.

It is not an emby issue. I tried a streaming app on my shield and it has the same delay. I am out of ideas now...

Possible solution:
https://github.com/justdan96/tsMuxer/issues/258

Quote

So I demux my EAC-3 track, I get my .AC3 file, but this time, I remux it with MKVToolnix and I remake a .MKV.
Finally, I open my .MKV with TSMuxer to Muxer my file in .M2TS (the PS3 does not support .MKV ...)
I start playing the movie, no more desynchro!
