Subtitles always enabled for one TV Series

I don't have this problem with any other shows or movies I watch. It is only one TV series that enables Subtitles every time I watch it. I disable them, but the next episode turns them right back on. Any ideas?

The issue is with Big Bang Theory. It occurred at 11:12:31.192. Let me know if you need the Firestick log. If so, I assume I would have to recreate this again and then send you the log, right?

How have you configured your emby user subtitle preferences?

Preferred language English. Subtitle mode is Smart. And remember subtitle track selections is checked.

And there is your problem.

Erring on the side of caution - without knowing what the language is, the system is turning on subtitles for you.

If you tag the audio tracks properly, this will no longer happen.

You said this only happens with one tv series. For other series, do those audio tracks have languages set?
