I experienced the same issue with Riven, since the Trakt API blocks requests from certain servers and locations. I was able to solve it in Riven thanks to a developer who added support for using a proxy specifically for Trakt API requests. A possible solution in Emby could be to configure a proxy at the network level, but it would be even better if the plugin maintainers could add an option to define a proxy URL used only for Trakt API calls.

Proxy options are always a possibility, yes.
