santo 1 Posted March 12, 2025 Posted March 12, 2025 Just checking if something has changed. WTV files recorded on MCE server were playing fine up until a week ago. Noticed no longer playing via web UI and iOS. Still playing through Samsung TV. Hitting play button does nothing and clicking the play button icon thumbnail gives error "There was an error processing the request. Please try again later". Not sure if related to this error in the log: 2025-03-12 00:00:31.387 Error QuickSingleImageExtractor: ProcessRun 'quick-extract-image' Error Output: ffmpeg version 5.1-emby_2023_06_25 Copyright (c) 2000-2022 the FFmpeg developers and softworkz for Emby LLC built with gcc 12.2.0 (Rev10, Built by MSYS2 project) Execution Date: 2025-03-11 23:59:31 -vsync is deprecated. Luke 42078 Posted March 12, 2025 Posted March 12, 2025 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
santo 1 Posted March 12, 2025 Author Posted March 12, 2025 Hi Log attached... took me forever to clear it as it was too big. embyserver.txt
Luke 42078 Posted March 12, 2025 Posted March 12, 2025 @santoare you sure this is the correct log file from when you tried to play? I don't see any playback activity here. Thanks !
santo 1 Posted March 13, 2025 Author Posted March 13, 2025 No. I'm playing from web browser on local host
Carlo 4561 Posted March 14, 2025 Posted March 14, 2025 It looks like you have auto-organize pointed to directories that are already part of current Emby Libraries. Please turn off or remove auto-organize for now. Turn off Debug logging as it's spamming your logs with unrelated information. Turn off this bottom option. If you don't require DLNA support, feel free to disable all three for now. This should make the log file much easier to follow. Please restart the Emby Server. Try and playback a WTV file one-time. Post the logs, tell us the client used and name of file you tried to play. Thanks, Carlo
Luke 42078 Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 Hi, can you also provide a sample video for testing? thanks.
santo 1 Posted March 17, 2025 Author Posted March 17, 2025 Hi Thanks for your attention to this. I have turned off DLNA completely and auto-organise. Restarted and new log attached after trying to play a file. I will make a short recording of a wtv file and attach. Santo embyserver.txt
santo 1 Posted March 17, 2025 Author Posted March 17, 2025 ...and here is a sample wtv file. BTW - it works fine from the emby app on the samsung tv Doc Martin__7TWO Perth_2025_03_17_19_29_00.wtv
Luke 42078 Posted March 17, 2025 Posted March 17, 2025 Hi, thanks for this. Did you test the sample to ensure the problem also occurs with that?
Luke 42078 Posted March 30, 2025 Posted March 30, 2025 I can reproduce with the sample, but if I set subtitles to off prior to playing, then it plays. Is what what you're seeing? Also are you sure the file isn't corrupt? 00:14:58.577 [mp2 @ 000001d1ea57f080] Header missing
