JuJuJurassic 49 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 (edited) Running Ubuntu 20.04.6 I've added a couple of old SSDs, I'm copying over content and while doing so thought I'd do a library scan. but the new content isn't being seen I got "2025-03-10 20:11:56.485 Error LibraryMonitor: Error in Directory watcher for: /data/sandisk3/temptv *** Error Report *** Version: 4.8.10.0 Command line: /opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /var/lib/emby -ffdetect /opt/emby-server/bin/ffdetect -ffmpeg /opt/emby-server/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /opt/emby-server/bin/ffprobe -restartexitcode 3 -updatepackage emby-server-deb_{version}_amd64.deb Operating system: Linux version 5.4.0-208-generic (buildd@lcy02-amd64-101) (gcc version 9.4.0 (Ubuntu 9.4.0-1ubuntu1~20.04.2)) #228-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb 7 19:41:33 UTC 20 Framework: .NET 6.0.31 OS/Process: x64/x64 Runtime: opt/emby-server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 16 Data path: /var/lib/emby Application path: /opt/emby-server/system System.IO.IOException: System.IO.IOException: The configured user limit (24576) on the number of inotify watches has been reached, or the operating system failed to allocate a required resource. Luke 42078 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Hi there, please attach the complete emby server log file. thanks.
Luke 42078 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 It seems like you added and removed it several times and now you just need to run a full scan of all libraries and allow that to finish.
Solution JuJuJurassic 49 Posted March 10, 2025 Author Solution Posted March 10, 2025 Hi Luke, I tried that several times, but it.dodnt work, ok in the end I kicked.off my family. Not a popular move, and rebooted. The emby process.was.hung, it.wouldnt go.past.it. after waiting 30 minutes I powered ioff the server and.its.come.up.happy with the libraries updated. 1
