Hi @Ben1977were you able to figure out getting connected? Are you sure you have the correct remote address?

Have you checked to see if your ISP uses a CGNat? If they do then you will need either a VPN or TailScale for remote access.

I dont think so because the IP starts with 27.97 - and does not start in the 100.000 etc. But i am double checking with my isp

Yes it does have CGNAT - geez

I can pay $5 a month to remove CGNET from my ISP - This would solve all of the problems?

but

Tailscale vs Zerotier  - these can work ok? What would you recommend?

I usually use a Firestick to watch movies

Do you have your own router on top of the ISP provided modem/router? If so, you have to forward the ports for emby on both your router and on the ISP one in order for it to connect. This is the problem I had when initially setting up remote access.

We change ISP whenever one raises their price after the promo pricing ends so I elected to have my own router so that my home network remains in tact when we switch out. It can add an extra layer of annoyance like this issue but for me it's worth it.

Thnaks for your feedback - My ISP did change to CG-NET - geez - you have to be a computer scientist to keep up with everything - I got them to turn off - and it works fine
