Ignore image files stores in movie folders

Hi,

Is there a way to ignore images located in movie folders?

The thing is I have a couple of remote media libraries that I don't have write access to which means I can't delete the image files, and therefore it would be nice to have a option to make Emby not use the image stored in the movie folder as the movie primary image, or even igrore it altogether.

Hi, this question comes  up every once in a while, but no, at the moment there is no option to ignore your own images.

+1 for this please!

In the mean time, you can use rclone with a local: mount to hide the files (can hide the NFOs too if you need since Emby STILL WANTS TO CREATE COLLECTIONS EVEN WHEN WE DON'T WANT THEM). I do this myself and it works. Create an rclone mount similar to the following, noting the exclude line.

[Unit]
Description=rclone Service for Emby
Wants=network-online.target
After=network-online.target

[Service]
Type=notify
Environment=RCLONE_CONFIG=/home/<user>/.config/rclone/rclone.conf
RestartSec=5
ExecStart=/usr/bin/rclone mount \
--allow-other \
--uid=1000 \
--gid=1000 \
--copy-links \
--no-checksum \
--checkers=64 \
--disable=ListR \
--buffer-size=0M \
--read-only \
--async-read=true \
--poll-interval=0 \
--vfs-cache-mode=off \
--exclude="*.{jpg,jpeg,png}" \
local:/mnt/<where your RO media files are> /mnt/emby ##this becomes your Emby Library path
ExecStop=/usr/bin/fusermount -u /mnt/emby
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
