Question about Downloads with Subtitles

Tonight I downloaded a movie to my Android tablet from a NAS location that also had the closed caption file for the movie. .srt.

But when playing the movie, there was no closed captions. I verified the setting was enabled on the player.

Does Emby download .srt files when it downloads media? The .srt had the same name as the movie.

I downloaded a movie tonight, and the closed captions would not play. I verified I had them set to 'on.'

Am I doing something wrong. I have posted here a follow-up and twice it has disappeared.
