Taipan1124 0 Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Long time plex user that recently switched over to Emby. Would watch movies at. Buddies house with no problem. Last week it stopped working for some unknown reason. The port does say 8096: allow remote connection and enable port mapping both checked. Plex still works so I don’t think it’s a Microsoft firewall issue (which is switched off anyway). Have even deleted the enby app and reinstalled and cannot watch outside my home network. Any suggestions??

Carlo 4561 Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 From a network machine try running a port test on canyouseeme.org for 8096. If it's not open you want to check the IP of your server to see if it got a new dhcp address. It's best to setup your server with a reserved dhcp address so it never changes. Check the port forwarding rules setup to make sure they are forwarding to the right internal IP. Carlo
