Trakt issues. Emby code not recognised.

Hi all.
I’ve been struggling to get Trakt to connect with my Emby server.

so, I’ve gone into settings, Trakt, generated code and up pops the box to authorise. I click connect and save settings and…doesn’t show as a connected app in Trakt account. Created a different Trakt sign up and tried again. Still no joy.

Found the Trakt activate webpage, repeated the process, generated the code and then I put it into https://trakt.tv/activate

and get the message… (2 of the numbers changed for security!)

The code 2BC28399 is invalid. Your device should be displaying an 8 character code

each time I try a different code, I get the same message and in connected apps…still nothing.

Any ideas guys and gals?

All help is much appreciated.

FF.

When the ‘authorise Emby to Trakt’ pop up appears. In Emby web client…sign in to your server…settings…Trakt. Get pin…generates the photo below.

As I said, this didn’t work after numerous attempts. Dug around, found the track activate webpage. Tired that. Still nothing joy.

What happens after you click Yes?

It’s gives you the code. You then put that into emby and click save. It says settings saved…but when you check Trakt ‘connected apps’ there’s nothing there and when server is synced…nothing shows up on Trakt. Just not connecting.

Well did you try doing anything in Emby after that? Such as playing something? Did you run the Trakt scheduled tasks to send data to trakt?

Yes to both. Have played films and tv shows after each attempt. As I say, it’s just not showing up in the connected apps on Trakt and I can’t seem to find out why. I’ve uninstalled Emby and clean installed. Tried most things, hence I’m now stuck.

OK, let's look at a specific example:

Thanks.

Also spoken to someone else who has the same setup as me and in their connected apps, it clearly states Emby connected, whilst my list is empty and I’ve gone through the exact same setup process he did. Can’t figure it at all.

It’s a shared server, but I’ve asked the guy to produce a data log for me if possible. Will check back tomorrow am. Cheers

I asked for the server logs and he said let him look.
