smokkan 0 Posted February 23, 2025 Posted February 23, 2025 I have a Samsung S95D and use Emby for Samsung. When I try to watch a movie with many subtitles embedded in the MKV file, let's say 20-30 different subtitles, only the first 10-15 seem to work.If I play the same file on a computer, phone, or Emby for Android on another TV, all subtitles work as expected. This issue only occurs on Emby for Samsung. However, if I extract a subtitle that doesn’t work and load it as an external file, it works as expected. What could be causing this problem when playing movies with many embedded subtitles on my Samsung TV?
smokkan 0 Posted February 23, 2025 Author Posted February 23, 2025 I have Emby 1.9.0 installed, and there is no newer version available in the Samsung Store on my TV.
Luke 42077 Posted February 25, 2025 Posted February 25, 2025 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Over about 20 subtitle tracks the TV will start to have issues. It is a limitation of the TV and not something that we can resolve in the app. It's best to try and remove unused subtitle tracks. You can investigate if you want to see how it works and if it will help you, otherwise you can remove them manually. 1
