Live TV Playback stops

Hello,

I have a problem with Live TV playback of some channels from an VU+ Receiver. The strange thing is, it only happens to a specific group of tv programs: Channels which are decrypted from a smartcard. Other programs which are FTA or from another smartcard runs without a stopping. Emby shows that the stream is running but it is hanging at a specific time. Also if i stream the same channel on 2 or 3 Devices, all streams stops at the same position. in the embyserver log there are no errors, but the ffmpeg log says that trancode files are opened but no frames are written.

At 15:06:48.459 there the last correct writing of the trancoding file, then the error occurs and the stream stops. 

When the stream is hanging, the cpu utilization is at a very high level (the see attachment).

 

If i run the m3u in m3u players there are no problems.

Here i captured the logs. Error occurs at 16:37:12.907
Error occurs in all Browsers and on all devices (Desktop Pc, Smartphone, Android TV).

II bet the high CPU starts where "15:06:52.382 More than 1000 frames duplicated" is logged.

It sounds like you have 2 smartcards. Is it possible for you to switch the position of the smartcard?
If so, this would show if the issue follows the smartcard or only happens on a specific tuner.
If it follows the smartcard, I'd ask the provider to reset the smartcard and send a new setup to it or have them replace the card.

BTW, which hardware tuners are you using?
Do you have the ability to connect them directly to Emby or is VU+ required?

yes, at this time the cpu utilization rizes. 

Changing the smartcards does not help. 

The error is independent from the tuner. I have a VU+ Uno 4K with FBC Tuner. 

I thought maybe to connect TvHeadend via Sat>IP but that is not so uncomplicated. 

I would like to have an easier solution.

Have you tried the onboard DVR of the VU+ Uno 4K to see if that stops as well or if it makes any kind of difference?
