Sketchcatt 0 Posted February 22, 2025 Posted February 22, 2025 Can someone please explain to me what triggers a movie folder to suddenly become a TV folder after adding more files to that folder? What are the words or phases that make this happen? Thanks for your help. Cheers, jah

What 'content type' do you have set for this library? Can you also show an example of the folder structure and the contents of the folder in question
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted February 22, 2025 Posted February 22, 2025 (edited) FWIW: I have never had any library change content type after initial setup. TV libraries stay as a TV library, Movie Libraries remain movie libraries and that goes for every type of library I have ever used. Of course I have TV and Movie libraries and libraries that contain pictures and one library for live tv recordings (mixed type) are all I have and I actually record very little live TV. In fact whenever I have tried to change a library's "type" Emby gave an error that it could not be done and I needed to delete the existing library and recreate it with the desired content type chosen. So I have absolutely no idea how a "movie" library could morph into a TV library as i thought that was impossible. The one way I can conceive of that happening is if the library was originally of mixed content and all it had was movies and then the movies got deleted or moved and additional content was added that was in TV format. I have never done that and I doubt it can be done in such a way as to appear that the nature of the library has changed. That is just my imagination at work as i have never done it or observed it happening. Edited February 22, 2025 by Gilgamesh_48
