Jerryfel 2 Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 Received the following message: Unable to Reach MEDIA LIBRARY We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again.
Luke 42077 Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 Hi, are you sure your server is running?
Jerryfel 2 Posted February 22, 2025 Author Posted February 22, 2025 Yes. I am able to see content within my Wi-Fi network. It is remotely that does not work at all. I did restart my server. I did restart my PC. I did restart my router. I even restarted my other PC that has nothing to do with Emby
Luke 42077 Posted February 22, 2025 Posted February 22, 2025 OK then I would try doing a new server connection and manually entering the address. Please see if that helps.
Jerryfel 2 Posted February 22, 2025 Author Posted February 22, 2025 Thank you for the quick responses. Could you provide me some instruction on how to create a new server connection? I’m not very technical and have been very pleased at how well and he has been running basically by itself.
Jerryfel 2 Posted February 22, 2025 Author Posted February 22, 2025 New update. Apparently Comcast (internet provider) is having technical issues that are involving IP4 addresses. So.. let’s pause a day or so. I will follow up to let you know.
Jerryfel 2 Posted February 22, 2025 Author Posted February 22, 2025 Final new update: The Internet provider has resolved their issues (so they say). I am still unable to reach the server from outside of my Wi-Fi. I tried to create a new server but after adding the IP address, I received another message that “Unable to reach server” What do you think may be going on?
Luke 42077 Posted February 22, 2025 Posted February 22, 2025 HI there, are you sure the address you entered is correct?
Luke 42077 Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 @Jerryfelin our private conversation you said this: Quote The remote IP address has displayed on the dashboard has changed several times. Everything seems to connect itself and is working correctly. I don’t understand, but I am able to watch my shows both internal and external. If this is true, then you may want to consider a DDNS so that you can always connect with a single consistent address. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
