Show how many seasons in a TV show

Is there a way to have how many seasons are inside a TV show. Haven't thought it through but something that will allow the user to know how many seasons and which one was just added.

1) Did you want to have this info pulled from subdirectories "Season 01", "Season 02".  That is not a great way to do it.  There are a lot of possible subdirectories that people use and many admins don't always put seasons's into separate directories.

2) Did you want to have info setting inside Metadata that the admin can edit?  This does make the most sense, but how many people want this? I think this might the first time it has been requested.  If this feature is done, where would it go on the media poster?  There is not a lot of room left.  The top area by the number of episodes often has some label that would be hidden if you added a number of seasons.  Just a number is not enough info for people to understand.  I think it's not really a good user experience to have so much info in the poster.  Perhaps it could go underneath.

3) Did you want to do this automatically and show the number of seasons of a show even though there may not be seasons available to view in the Emby collection?  This will be difficult to keep this accurate.  Number of seasons released can change on any day of the year. It is not practical to search for updates daily.  Notice also that the "Sesaons" text is overlapping other features.  Perhaps you can add this information into your overview text that users can see, once they click and open the media page.  That also allows you to editorially comment on how popular the 1st season became and some hints of where the plot is going.  I think that may be more useful to users to decide if they want to watch the program.  On the series media page, seasons can be seen anyway.  It is really not needed here.

4) Put Seasons underneath.

5) Don't add Seasons.  The info is too crowded in the library page now.

What does everyone prefer.  To be honest, I think #5 is best.

Hi, maybe in the context menu, but I can't think of a way to do it directly on the poster that wouldn't look cluttered.

Well the idea was more to know how many season are there in total and how many are actually in the Emby library.

For example let's take the TV show Cobra Kai. There are 6 seasons in total but lets say only 4 of them are in my Emby library.

So it will be displayed as: 4 of 6 seasons

Dunno just an idea :)

That was possible in the past before version 4.8 when emby was downloading and presenting missing episodes/seasons by default but in version 4.8, the emby team decided to remove from the emby database the information of the missing episodes .... now the only way is going to the 3 dots (...) at series level and click on "show missing episodes" this will trigger an online request to thetvdb.com and return the missing episodes:

Navigate to the last one to see the last season and do the math on your head.

Hope this helps....

PS: EMBY TEAM bring back the missing episodes to the DB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
