Next episode overlay persists

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue on my Apple TV HD that doesn’t occur on any of the Apple TV 4K devices in my home. I don't have a second Apple TV HD to try.

When an episode finishes, the Next Episode overlay remains on the screen during playback. If I manually select Next Episode, everything works fine, but if the media transitions automatically, the overlay persists.

I’ve also noticed that when the next episode starts with the overlay still visible, the dashboard doesn’t recognise that anything is playing for my user account.

I’ve already performed a DFU restore on the Apple TV and reinstalled the Emby app, but the issue persists across all TV content.

Any help would be amazing!

Thank you :)

Thank you

I'm surprised you are still seeing this with the 1.9.4 update that was recently released

Is it 1.9.4 (3)?

Yep that’s the one.

It’s only a recent thing, this Apple TV has been flawless for years. It’s only been the past two weeks or so we’ve had this issue.

Thanks for your help

Strange that it's only been the last few weeks.  Did any changes occur at that time?

When did it update to 1.9.4 (3)?  Maybe it was caused by a firmware update?

Actually, that might have been the 1.9.4(2) release.
