I have the android version and the firetv version of the app on the tv. Same user in each app. The media will start at the correct time on the firetv version of the app but starts from the beginning on the android version. Also searching by tag seems to be broken on the newest build.

You can also install "AndroidTV" and it should also work. I made a few changes to the TV platform to improve how it works with the various clients. I will check to make sure I didn't break something. This should be an easy fix. Please note that you cannot have both "Emby for Android" and "AndroidTV" installed on the same device because each app has the same ID and that will cause the problem you are having. The "Emby for Android" is the better of the two apps. As for the TAG not working. I have not tested it lately. I probably changed something that broke adding tags to the query string. I had a few channels that only used a tag query. Also, I tried uninstalling the Amazon version of Emby from my tv and the android version still starts playback from the beginning. App version is 3.4.38 of that helps any. A funny side effect of having both apps installed was if I started a channel in one, hit the back button to stop playback, then switched to the other app it would be playing there as well lol.

Yes, that happens because both apps have the same ID, but only one gets Emby commands and that changes dynamically. Get the "Emby for Android" app from amazon. This is what I do, and it works fine. The Amazon device (like the fire cube) can have only one android client installed I didn't mean to imply that to use the Tag attribute in the Quick menu you must select a genre. You can recognize that you are running this version by looking for the miss spelling of "import" on the Channel Management menu. If it is spelled as "inport" then you are on the old code. Vic Sorry, when you say "remove the old TV Service", are you referring to the the plugin itself (ie remove the plugin before installing the new version) or uninstalling all old channels created by previous version? Or something else? The "Sports Movie" channel was a new channel, so I assumed it was using the latest version of the plugin as I always restart the server after I download a new version of your plugin.
