Kurt13 11 Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 Hi, I installed the Trailers Plugin but I didn't like it. It doesn't find the trailer for some movies and for the other, it's seems to be just a link to the trailer on YouTube. So, I decided to get the trailers by myself but even after uninstalling, the trailers are still being shown. Do I have to go through all the nfo files and delete the lines regarding the trailer? Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 Hi, this plugin has no files. What you're referring to comes from MovieDb metadata.

Yes, i saw that there are no files, only urls to YouTube on the nfo of each movie. So, do I have to delete those urls manually (refreshing the metadata can replace changes I made manually). Thanks

Thanks Well if you are refreshing metadata yes it can/will replace your data with provider data as this field is not visible in the UI (yet) and has no lock field to preserve your edited url unless you lock the entire file. But there is no way to block getting this info from TMDB by default.

So, to not take the risk of the "refreshing metadata" option to replace some I have changed manually, i'll need to delete the urls on each nfo file. Thanks
Solution Luke 42077 Posted February 16, 2025 Solution Posted February 16, 2025 You can still do that. if you add your own local trailer, then that will get used instead of the youtube url. I would just do that.

Thanks The plugin ie Trailers plugin does not download any local trailers and provides a independent library of trailer on your server. Unless you are talking about something totally different and need to explain more. Now local trailers ie trailers you put with media will automatically ignore the nfo url. As local file will supersede nfo metadata. But Emby does not download any trailers unless you by chance use the YTrailers plugin by third party dev.

I didn't say it downloads anything but i think it was only after I installed it that choosing "Trailer" (next to the "Play" option) it began showing trailers from YouTube (I can be wrong). And only when I decided that i preferred to get them myself, I opened the nfo file from a movie and saw there the links for the trailer on YouTube.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 Sorry no it has always come from TMDB metadata when any item is imported.
