fragtrance 5 Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 (edited) Hello, I've been downloading and installing the (beta) app for my Samsung TV UE55NU7102 for a while now, but the process is a bit tedius to do every month. From my understanding the app should be available in the app store? Unfortunately I do not see it. Is there anything I can do? Or maybe you can submit the app to Samsung for this TV too? I'm not familiar with the process, but I'm assuming you have to requests the models that the app will be available on. Thanks! Edited February 16, 2025 by fragtrance
FrostByte 5392 Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 What country are you in? I assume you're in Europe somewhere from the model number. Most countries should have access to the app now, but maybe there is one or two that got missed. Luke/SamES can verify your country is receiving apps from Emby. BTW: if you do get it from the app store it will be old. Samsung doesn't take updated app submissions for TV models after 5 years, so the version in the store for your model will be about 2 -3 years old now.
fragtrance 5 Posted February 16, 2025 Author Posted February 16, 2025 If that's the case, then I'd rather stick with downloading the beta app. No point it have a 6month+ old app, especially when there are frequent updates. I'm in Cyprus, Europe.
FrostByte 5392 Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 @Luke @SamES is the Samsung app available for the folks in Cyprus?
FrostByte 5392 Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 @fragtrance My TV is the same year as yours and the version I'm seeing is 1.2.6. So, if/when it's available in Cyprus that's the version you will probably see also. Unless Luke can ask for a one-time update for older models. I'm updating monthly via usb because of it also. 2
