BigIrn 10 Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 I'm running the script on both windows and mac side. If the root level folders issue is fixed I think we're good to proceed.
gillmacca01 211 Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 Just added the movie folder to Emby, waiting for scan to finish
gillmacca01 211 Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 Scan finished, still seeing things detected as TV Shows (see screenshot) - exclude the following as I can ignore them: Math, Week Shapes Songs Collection Skip counting up to Children_Family & Horror_thriller - are they a configuration error on my part? Forgot to tick 'ignore empty group-title', so will re-run with the option ticked Looking through folders & Movies tab, everything looks good in there
gillmacca01 211 Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 Ignore list is not being applied to Live TV

I will also check the code for that and correct it if it doesn't. Edited March 24, 2025 by mickle026
gillmacca01 211 Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 Re-run and scanned and I'm left with these in TV Shows (only imported Movies into Emby) Children_Family & Horror_Thriller - I have tried override for movies using what they are called in the m3u and the folder output - still showing in tv shows

Check the timestamps of the folders, are these leftover remnants from a previous run? I don't get a movies 2018 folder either.....

This was done with fresh (all previous created m3u's and VOD's were deleted) and the VOD library removed from Emby and readded after the task had completed.

mickle026 650 Posted March 24, 2025 Author Posted March 24, 2025 I don't see it here I will re-run again as I have don't create groups checked, I will uncheck it and re-run
BigIrn 10 Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 OK I’m going to do a whole refresh because I’m still getting the top TV and movie folders showing as if they are their own movie and TV show.

I believe you may have some strms not in subfolders if you check it in a file browser rather than withing Emby, and that may be causing this issue.

gillmacca01 211 Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 Just finished running the latest dll and ran 'scan media library' afterwards and still seeing some in tv shows. Going to work soon, but when I get back I'm going to do a complete restart (delete m3u's/strm's) and try again, in case of some sort of anomaly. But just incase, there is an issue you might see, this is the current tv show folder (a lot better than it was, but not quite there)

Pm me your config XML file..
gillmacca01 211 Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 Won't be back at hotel till about 4:30. Will dm then
mickle026 650 Posted March 25, 2025 Author Posted March 25, 2025 (edited) @gillmacca01 Just ran it again with your m3u and everything seems to be correctly placed and named correctly. I have included the DLL , the only thing I edited since the last build is the country codes function, added some fine tuning checks. VODtoSTRMscheduledTask.dll Edited March 25, 2025 by mickle026

gillmacca01 211 Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 I will dm you my configuration file now, in case there is an issue there, but I'm about to run the latest dll, then I will create a mixed content library (importing only the movie folder) and a standard movie library and see if there is a difference

I believe the m3u to VOD strm plugin is recognising them correctly now and that issue is now resolved. (until the time there is something new to the m3u that is not recognised) I am open to correction though, but this is what I believe. To further make them correctly imported to Emby a user could add a tmbd/imdb code via the api key option, but that would slow down the export to vod a lot.
gillmacca01 211 Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 I think your right here. First screenshot from a mixed content library looking at 2-Headed Shark Attack (appearing as a tv show) Same movie, but searched from a movie library (movie is displayed), but it's classed as a episode in Emby So If I was to tell Emby to populate the metadata from tmdb, this SHOULD be identified as a movie?
