Hi, I tested this by using one instance of the web app to remote control another and it worked just fine.

im not sure if this is exactly what this person is talking about. although these 2 variables are related to other bigger issues for me and probly others. i found that certain strm files wouldn't play. for the longest time i thought it was the iptv provider. so i switched back to the old iptv provider. then randomly noticed it was happening with them. i spun up new server with just that strm in it. and it played. so i swapped system folders // removed any plugins that was different // added /removed library to find a pattern.  then searched thru db mediaitems /userddatas .. the only thing that was different in db was those 2 fields. if i changed them to 1 and -1 like it was in the working system. they would revert back. so something is telling them to stay null and not play the strm file. also noticed the strms that wouldn't play was 265 codex but not sure that's a factor anymore.

also i posted a while back about the .net ffprob error, and others had same issue . this dont happen on the working system that keeps those settings 1 audiostreamindex and -1 subtitleindex. also think is has something todo when the library is initially setup and dont matter if you change settings later. so leave everything by default, dont select english or anything else, just what ever emby checks by default.

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

seems like it was an issue after beta35, it works in beta38 but not as good as beta35. i found that your default settings for setting up library is the ideal way.;)

but i might be able to swing back to this later.
