Convert AAC 5.1 TO EAC3 5.1

Hi,

Is there any setting to convert AAC 5.1 content to EAC3 5.1? I've got an old receiver that only supports arc not earc. EAC3 5.1 plays fine but AAC 5.1 only comes out as stereo.

I've looked through the settings client and server side and can't see anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think full ffmpeg command line could probably do it.  I like to use AVIDemux.  It converts AAC 5.1 to AC3 5.1.  That might work on your system.

I think this is pretty simple...  His audio chain cannot accept multi-channel AAC so he needs the option to convert it to a format it will support (DD).

..the option available in the AndroidTV app maybe ... ?
