I can play music but when I go to favourite albums and try, the server seems to crash (around 21:08 in the logs).

  • The server stopped showing content, and each new page I went to was blank.
  • Restarted the container shortly after the crash (linuxserver/emby).

Hi, in this log it shutdown gracefully, so there is no evidence of a crash here. It may have gotten a shutdown signal from the OS.

Are you sure this is the right log from when the problem occurred?

If you're not sure then I would try removing these plugins:

2025-02-08 21:06:56.486 Info App: Loading VirtualTV, Version=2.1.6.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /config/plugins/VirtualTV.dll
2025-02-08 21:06:56.486 Info App: Loading SonosController, Version=1.0.26.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /config/plugins/SonosController.dll

And then see if it happens again.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it's the right log. Regardless, I removed the plugins, enabled debugging, and reproduced the issue with better notes.

  • 22:42: removed plugins
  • 22:44: enabled debugging
  • 22:44: navigated to favorite albums
  • 22:45: hit the shuffle button - nothing happened
  • 22:47: tried to play a specific album (it started spinning but no music)
  • 22:48: navigated to TV shows (blank screen)
  • 22:49: downloaded logs
  • 22:50: can't play any content (I had to restart the container)

Were you able to see the crash in the logs? Or better yet reproduce the problem?

Hi, does it only happen after trying to play that album?

Posted

Nope, it happens when I press the shuffle button. After that the system is unresponsive.

OK this is likely performance related. If you need immediate relief this should be resolved on the 4.9 beta channel.
