I hope this can be fixed eventually. I am not transcoding but rather direct play on TV speakers. Why no one is looking into this issue it's really an annoying issues it happens as well with me i set downmixing to 3, not enough, yet the same file if direct play through other apps like vlc ... etc the volume level is like 3x higher not sure why this is happening i do have this issue for the app on LG TV WebOs 1
Luke 42077 Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 @sshalaby Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
ChrisJ60 13 Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 We've been having this issue with the Emby app on LG TV for the last few months as well. We used to be able to watch media via Emby at a TV volume level of 20-25 and it was perfectly fine. Now for any and all media we have to turn the TV up to at least 45 and often as much as 60+ to get reasonable volume. This affects all files, including ones we used to be able to watch quite happily at a TV volume level of 20 or so. Server log from yesterday attached. No transcoding is occurring (video or audio). Other media sources viewed on the TV (live TV, PVR input) have the same volume level as they always used to have. embyserver-63875692800.txt 1
sshalaby 1 Posted February 22, 2025 Author Posted February 22, 2025 Exactly, that's what is happening for so long now
ChrisJ60 13 Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 @Lukeany thoughts / update on this issue that has been around for many months now?
Luke 42077 Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the app and see if that helps?
