Subtitle Display Issue

When loading an SRT subtitle, if a line is too long, it extends beyond the display area. There should be an automatic line break function here.

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Well, based on my limited computer knowledge, SRT subtitle rendering should be completed on the client and has nothing to do with server. In fact, I really didn't find any content in the server log file that seems particularly related to this subtitle sentence

Hat,

Subtitles are with the media on the server.  They are either separate files, or files embedded in the media file, or burned into the media image.  The client's software / app choice to playback Emby can sometimes have issues with certain types of subtitles or if there are too many embedded subtitles.  It is very common to have media files with 24 subtitles.  It's important to see which subtitles are with the media, then see if any are processed during transcoding and finally see if the client's playback with subtitles has any issues.

Types of subtitles = about 7 different possibilities plus customized variables and some font missing issues.

Types of software / Apps / browser / hardware combinations = probably about 6 x 6 x 30 x 8 = possibly more than 8000 combinations.

We cannot see what is happening unless you send us your logs...  how to report a media playback issue.

@hatsuyukinecan you please provide the requested information? Both server and client are involved. Thanks.

@hatsuyukine您能提供所需信息吗?服务器和客户端都涉及。谢谢。

Hello, I encountered this issue again on my TV box. Since it wasn't convenient to take a screenshot, I took a photo with my phone, which shows it's the same problem.

I've also attached the server log. Since I watched on the morning of the 9th, I uploaded the only log file dated the 9th from the server, which should be fine.

I usually use external SRT subtitles. While the videos might have embedded ASS subtitles, I generally don't use them

Okay. As you can see, this is just a regular UTF-8 encoded Chinese subtitle file without any formatting requirements. You can find the subtitle that goes beyond the screen at No.18 - there's nothing special about it, it's just longer than the others, which is why I mentioned we need an automatic line break function.

OK, I think we will need an android app log in order to diagnose this:

Thanks .
