I understand problems take time to fix, but completely ignoring people in the meantime is incredibly rude and disrespectful.

 

It's been a full week, with Luke active on the forums the whole time. And me repeatedly asking for his input. How hard is it to drop a quick 'hey I'm working on/looking into this'.

Or perhaps some follow up questions/ something I can look into. Again it's a stock device with nothing plugged in. I don't know where else to even look. 

 

 

This is entirely in the hands of the devs, and until this is acknowledged, I'm going to become VERY loud and make it front and center because I'm being ignored and disrespected.

I thought I was the only one who experienced this on a regular basis with the admins of this forum. We come here to painstakingly go through the process of posting logs, screenshots and whatnot, only to get back annoyingly generic suggestions which often has absolutely nothing to do with the issue(s) at hand. They almost never address my specific issues head on, but instead create all sorts of smoke screen reasons as to why I'm the only one who is experiencing the problem. For the record I ALSO noticed that the navigation arrows showed up on my Android mobile devices ONLY after the latest update, so this is CLEARLY something that they recently implemented, but don't want to admit it for some reason.

This place takes an enormous amount of patience, that I often run out of. You're not alone.

I try to be fairly selective about what I report/suggest because I know just trying to convince the Devs that there is actually a problem is like pulling teeth and I'm going to end up extremely frustrated in the process.

It's been a continuous pattern/cycle since I joined this community. I keep hoping for improvement, but I've learned to not hold my breath.

 

 

Now I just look for external solutions instead of beating my head against a wall.

Embys convert feature is buggy (particularly when told to convert new media as its added), so I use Tdarr instead. Downloading with anything besides a wedbrowser is extremely hit or miss, so I use Filebrowser or SSH. Camera upload was a hot mess last time I looked at it (it's been a long time, this one may have improved) so I use a combination of SSH + FolderSync, and have recently started playing with Immich

Hi there, I went back and looked at your topics. I don't see anywhere that I would say we put up a smoke screen. If you're still having an issue with any of them, then please follow up in those topics and we'll be happy to take another look.

armv7 will work on anything, but depending on the architecture of your device, you may want the specific one for that.
