ggspeedi 0 Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 I installed Em by on my Windows 11 desktop computer and created my library of movies and TV shows and everything works great around my home(network). The problem is I can't sign in to any of my devices primarily Roku Outside of my network. It's asking for my Host , Server info and nothing can be found. I literally dropped Plex because of this similar issue and now Emby is as complicated as well. Any suggestions before calling Geek Squad?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 (edited) Not sure why this in in MacOS section but what have you done to setup remote access? https://emby.media/support/articles/Remote-Setup.html Edited February 3, 2025 by Happy2Play
ggspeedi 0 Posted February 3, 2025 Author Posted February 3, 2025 First of I don't see a Windows OS option only MacOS so that is the reason. I've gone through the entire route of that link and still I must be doing something wrong apparently because still cannot connect outside of my network, only locally my home.

Mods will move it later but normally you would post in General/Windows. But what have you done? Port forwarding? Checked external site like canyouseeme.org to verify WAN address is same as what dashboard is showing? And if Emby ports are showing open? Have you done the tracert to see if your ISP is using cgNAT?
