jahagafut 5 Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 So after a week of troubleshooting stuttering caused by a poor WiFi 7 router, I can try to troubleshoot my next biggest problem/confusion? With both directplay and transcoding, none of my TVs recognise HDR or DV, normally my Bravia will tell you what mode you're in if you go to picture settings so that you can fine tune, but neither it nor my Samsung s90c try to play in HDR or DV mode. I've attached what I hope is helpful logs and screenshots ffmpeg-transcode-5b1ce5e5-8aa9-4b3d-a94e-2c27a574359d_1.txt
Lessaj 467 Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 Looks like your max bitrate is set to 80 but that source content is 96, so first try setting your bitrate to the max possible and see if it will direct play.
Luke 42077 Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.

It seems to insist on defaulting to 80, I'll try this out when I get a chance, I think last time I tried it eventually stopped due to too many errors

I'll try some deeper testing in the morning but so far, the Android app was direct playing and in HDR, thank you 1

This worked for the android TV, what can I do for the Apple TV?

Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
