roberto12345 1 Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 Hello, there are cases when there is a movie and a series of the same cartoon. Is there a way to have them in the same parent folder and tell Emby to detect the content correctly? In a mixed content library: cartoons\ there's a folder which contains the movies and the series: Monsters\(2001) Monsters, Inc.mkv Monsters\(2013) Monters University.mkv Monsters\Monsters at Work\S01 Monsters\Monsters at Work\S02 the problem is that Emby detects everything as a series and displays both movies as part of the series (before the first episode). When I split the content to two folders... Monsters\(2001) Monsters, Inc.mkv Monsters\(2013) Monters University.mkv Monsters at Work\S01 Monsters at Work\S02 ... everything works but I'd like to keep the same cartoon in the same parent folder regardless of the content type . Is there a way to get around this issue? Thanks, Rob

You should restructure that to: Monsters\Monsters, Inc. (2001)\Monsters, Inc. (2001).mkv Monsters\Monsters University (2013)\Monsters University (2013).mkv Monsters\Monsters at Work (2021)\Season 1 Monsters\Monsters at Work (2021)\Season 2 Movie Naming TV Naming
roberto12345 1 Posted February 3, 2025 Author Posted February 3, 2025 (edited) Great. It works even when I have the year at the beginning of the name which helps me keep the sort order within the parent folder in accordance with release date - it's helpful when I access the content from outside of Emby. Many thanks, Rob Edited February 3, 2025 by roberto12345 1
