Pop up to try the standard Android client on GoogleTV

I have no issues with the android TV app on my TCL TV.  But this pop up suggested I install instead the android standard app would be better in some way.

I tried it for a day and all is fine however it can’t ’chase Play’ ie FF through a currently recording tv show.  We do this every night for the news ad’s.

If you add that to match the AndroidTV client, then I am happy to switch if that’s what you want.  I assume it is due to the pop up.

For me Android app is not asking pincode when switching user profile, with android tv version this is working fine. Any idea?

I don’t use PIN codes myself.  
maybe there is a list of things to be worked on before this is good for release?
