Idan92a 0 Posted January 31, 2025 Author Posted January 31, 2025 I tried with both gmail and microsoft outlook 2 different email accounts, but never got the confirmation email to any of them. I also checked in spam and didn’t find anything. What can I do?
Neminem 1519 Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 Did you install your own server, with your own media, on your own hardware ? Quick Start Or have you access to someone else's server ? If someone else's have a talk with them. Emby does not host your server and do not supply media files.
Idan92a 0 Posted January 31, 2025 Author Posted January 31, 2025 No I didn’t install my own server, but Im talking about the confirmation email for the first sign up step to Emby, it has nothing to do with the server. How can I get the verification email? It is simple step for regular registration
pwhodges 2012 Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 If you registered here to get a Connect account, that's already working because you can post. You don't "sign up" for Emby - you either install your own Emby server (which is what it's intended for), or access someone else's server, either a family or friend's, or an (illegal) commercial one. It would be more usual for the server admin to ask here about problems with their clients connecting - not least because they typically have more experience than their users, but also because they can provide server logs for us to look at which may indicate where the process is failing. Has your friend created an account for you on their server, and linked your email to it? That's how Emby Connect needs to be set up. Paul Edited January 31, 2025 by pwhodges
