Unfortunately I lost my email and I’m not able to reset my password meaning I will never be able to have that email back. How do I get to the person that has my server I have tried contacting MB for support and they said that I have to contact the person who I got the service from all I know is my user profile name and my sever is is VD11. I cannot reset password since my old email is invalid. I need to be able to connect it to a new email, but SUPPORT is not helping me. Does anybody have any suggestions?

darkassassin07 652 Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 Emby is just a software provider. They do not provide content or server hosting. If you've gotten locked out of some third party provider (which in itself violates Embys T&Cs... Emby is for personal use, not comercial providers) there's absolutely nothing we can do for you. Your problem is with the hosting provider, not Emby.

darkassassin07 652 Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 Well, for starters; who did you rent a server from? Who have you been/did you pay? Figure that out, contact them, explain the situation and request access to your account. You'll probably have to provide proof of ownership in some form; but that's between you and whoever you gave your money to. That's about all the assistance you'll find here. Again Emby does not provide server hosting or content, and the provider that has done so for you is violating Embys T&Cs.

I’m not here to get anybody in trouble. I paid for my service. I just wanna be able to reset my password and hand my old email to the new and use the service. I can’t go to EMBY Support and I don’t know how to get in contact with the host. That’s why I’m here trying to get help figuring somebody would know.

You have paid for a service yes; but you have not paid Emby. Nor does Emby condone or support re-sellers (the people you've paid). You need to contact vdrome11.xyz (as shown on your login screen). Good luck with that, as they appear to have no other website, and their contacts details are hidden from whois. A Google search for them returns zero results, so I guess they don't want to be found. Clearly they know their business is dodgy... Paul 1
