Leonvrdx 0 Posted January 30, 2025 Posted January 30, 2025 (edited) Hello! Through the computer, accessing my emby IP I can move forward, backward, skip part of what I'm watching normally, but through the Android TV and normal Android apps I can't. It turns out that in Android apps, or outside my PC browser, whenever I try to touch the content minutes, Emby returns to where it was originally playing, so I can't go back a few seconds or move forward. Can anyone help me? Edited January 30, 2025 by Leonvrdx The translator ended up duplicating all my text, I'm avoiding being redundant
visproduction 315 Posted January 30, 2025 Posted January 30, 2025 Leo, I would guess that your original media is in the process of being transcoded and this limits forward and return options. Try using an online test video with a more basic video and audio codec, like 1080P h.264 .mp4 and AAC audio. If that works, then you can assume the media content transcoding has perhaps reached a limit for your server. I don't do transcoding. Everything in my media library is more basic video and audio that always plays on everything. You can capture a log file and submit it here, so everyone can see if this transcoding limitation is true, but it is sort of easier to test a 2 minute video to see what might be happening. 1
Luke 42077 Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks! 1
Leonvrdx 0 Posted January 31, 2025 Author Posted January 31, 2025 ATT 2025/01/31 SOLVED The function of forwarding and rewinding content on Emby Android/Android TV requires a Premiere subscription, I became a subscriber here and now everything is fine. It's a shame this isn't better highlighted in the Premiere tab of the website, I spent a few days trying to find a solution hehe
ebr 16169 Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 Hi. Seeking is not a Premiere feature so something else has changed to clear this up for you.
