Tech127 20 Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 C:\Windows\System32>powercfg /requests DISPLAY: None. SYSTEM: [PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume11\Users\yourmom\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.exe AWAYMODE: None. EXECUTION: None. PERFBOOST: None. ACTIVELOCKSCREEN: None. All of a sudden, emby server is preventing my screen saver AND monitor sleep from working. I wiped and reloaded windows and everything else yesterday which led to zero results. The above did rear it's head after so I guess it wasn't for not? I use a OLED monitor on the server so this actually is a big deal. Any ideas? Thanks!
Luke 42078 Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 Hi, usually this comes down to what features you have enabled. Please attach the emby server log from when you expected it to sleep: How to Report a Problem Thanks.
Tech127 20 Posted January 27, 2025 Author Posted January 27, 2025 (edited) Thanks for the reply, Luke. I don't expect the PC to sleep. All these years later, I still haven't gotten around to doing that lol. I just want the screen saver to come on in 2 minutes and the monitor to sleep in 15. The PC never shuts off/sleeps/etc. embyserver.txt Edited January 27, 2025 by TechLife
Luke 42078 Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 OK Emby Server doesn't do anything to prevent the system screensaver or monitor sleep. It does keep the system awake though when Emby clients are connected.
Tech127 20 Posted January 27, 2025 Author Posted January 27, 2025 I didn't think it should however powercfg tells me that's what's keeping it awake. This is very odd and is relatively new. If there is no setting in Emby, I'll see if I can find a way to override it. Usually this will come from something like Brave playing YouTube or OBS which makes sense. In this case, it doesn't it's just running the server software. No video, no browser, no nothing. Thanks anyway
Luke 42078 Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 It’s keeping the system awake not the screen.
