Cannot play certain content on emby LG TV app.

Watching a specific show that is 4K DV/DA hangs on a black screen after two seconds on the emby app on my LG B8 TV. Other files of similar specs seem to work fine. I can get the files to play fine on my other LG CX in another room.

 

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Hi there. There doesn't seem to be any logs associated with the content I'm trying to play being generated. The episodes play for exactly three seconds at the longest then just hang on a black screen.

possibly your TV lacks the power for it, thats the problem I had with the TV app.

That's interesting. How would I determine that's the issue?

I don't think that's the issue. I think it's an issue in the LG video player. We're looking at possible workarounds. Thanks.
