Lordsloss 2 Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 (edited) Hello again. I am putting Supernatural on my Server and when saving the copied in MKV there is really only one main option to save it which has 6 episodes in one long video. Is there a way for Emby to split these into individual ones or do I need to edit it into 6 videos? I don't have this problem with regular DVD TV Shows. Sorry for my ignorance. Thank you. Solution pwhodges 2012 Posted January 23, 2025 Solution Posted January 23, 2025 Emby has no way to split this; the recommended program is MKVToolNix, which can do it without transcoding. Or you can check your ripping program to see how to get the episodes off the Bluray individually. Paul

I will just edit it into separate files and name it accordingly. It will just take awhile. Thank you though. I'll also look into the link. Appreciate it.
c-feiou 0 Posted January 23, 2025 Posted January 23, 2025 (edited) What software are you using for ripping? Did you check your disc (with VLC for example)? Some discs have one file for „Play all episodes“ (listed in the blu-ray menu if you play it from the player) and one file for each episode. chris Edited January 23, 2025 by c-feiou

For example the disc can be episodes 1-6, but there are only 5 individual files and a play all option, so to not miss the episode, I have to select the one large file. I can edit them down, but it just adds time.
