polaris70 17 Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Hello Developers, Since updating my Apple TV 4K’s Emby app to 1.9.3 (3), I’ve noticed that my Collections now have top and bottom borders, the color determined by my Apple TV’s appearance settings. On my case, the background is white due to my Light appearance setting. Please look at the attachment. Thanks for taking the time to check and fix. 1
Luke 42077 Posted January 23, 2025 Posted January 23, 2025 Hi, you do notice though that it preserves the aspect ratio instead of stretching and distorting. That’s good, right?
polaris70 17 Posted January 23, 2025 Author Posted January 23, 2025 Luke, thank you for your response. Why do these changes only affect the collections, and not the Movies and TV shows? This issue started after updating to Emby app version 1.9.3 (3), as everything was fine with the earlier version.
Luke 42077 Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 The CoverArt plugin has a number of transformations for collections, and so this was done to make sure those are not distorted or cropped. That's why you're seeing it on Collections and not Movies. Obviously it would be better if the cover art enhancement would also come attached with an instruction of how the user interface should handle it, but that would be a next improvement for it. Until we have something like that this is the best compromise for most users.
