Auto Play for TV Shows

I followed the instructions in the link below, but I am still having issues with auto playback. See the attached pictures of my folders and let me know if you see any issues which would cause auto play to not work. For clarification purposes, the auto play feature works if you click play all, but if you click on an episode and watch it, it will not auto select the next episode. I have also attached my playback setting for review. Thank you in advance.

Edit: The play all from here feature is present only on the PC by right clicking, but it still does not auto-pay unless play all of hit.

For Example: Media Backup/TV Shows/The IT Crowd/Season 1/The IT Crowd S01E01 Yesterdays Jam

Try adding year and TvdbId

To your folder, it looks like its not identified

Folder The IT Crowd (2006) [TvdbId=79216]

Hi.  First, the setting you showed governs the web app.  Make sure you have turned on the setting in the Roku app.

However, you are playing from folders - why?

I also suspect the system does not know this is a TV series.

How do I not play from folders? Nothing shows up in any of the other options.

Unfortunately, this did not work.

Enter the TV Shows library

The tab at the top shows "Suggestions". If you move the tab to "Shows" it will show all the shows.

Why are you using "Folders" instead of "Shows" to view your tv library?

Mine does not show in "Shows" only under "Folders" any idea how to have them show in the correct area?

What shows up in "Shows" of your TV library?

How have you set up the TV library?

When you set up the TV library did you choose TV shows as the content type?

I selected "TV Shows" and nothing shows up under shows, just under folders. I can redo it to make sure it didn't just mess up.

Yes. If you just have a few it is better to delete the TV library in your library settings and start over. Make sure to choose "TV shows" as the library type. Then re-add your folder paths. After you do that make sure to run a full library scan. Once the scan completes the Roku should have the "shows" working.

Still no luck. This is the path I am following. Inside of the path "TV Shows" then it falls into the show folder then season folder with episodes.

How does the system know it is a TV Series? I thought I labeled everything correctly.

Hi.  How are your files named and organized?

TV Naming

Does this help? They are all MKV format if that is acceptable just like all my movies.

One of your screenshots shows a scan in progress.  Has that completed?

Yes, same thing. I was just deleting then reading to see if anything was messed up from the initial setup.

I'm going to call in @sa2000because I'm not seeing the problem but there definitely is one as your items are not being recognized as TV shows.

How many Emby libraries have you created, and what folder paths are added to each one?

Is this the information you need?

Your issues is your folder paths as you can not have a child path of any other library that already exists.

So Movies you have E:\Media Backup and you have TV with E:\Media Backup\TV Shows.  So the Movies library kills the TV library do to overlapping paths.

You need to reorganize Movies path to say something like E:\Media Backup\Movies.

But you should remove both libraries to possible correct the database issues that are being created now.
