Emby, Hauppauge TV Card, and NVidia Card

I am currently running a Windows 11 VM Guest on a Proxmox server to host my Emby Server. Its a bit resource intensive, and then there is the additional overhead of licenses for Windows and my AV program. I'd really like to move it over to Ubuntu Server 24.04.1. Under the Windows VM guest that runs on the same Proxmox Host, both cards are seen by Emby. I am successfully passing the cards through to the operating system. When I open Emby, I have options to use the Hauppage Card for LiveTV, and under Transcoding, the option to use the NVIDIA card appears as well.

However, when I try to configure LiveTV on Emby, Hauppage is not listed as an option, nor is my NVidia card listed as the hardware option for transcoding on Emby. I have verified that both are seen by the operating system. I've even added Kaffeine to the Ubuntu server to watch Live TV and it works without any issue. Is there something specific I need to configure on Emby, or the Ubuntu box itself to allow Emby to see this hardware?

Emby doesn't have built-in support for Hauppauge tuner cards. The general recommendation is to install software like TVHeadend then use the IPTV (M3U) tuner option for Live TV.

For HW acceleration follow the Emby setup guide link in the Transcoding settings.
