austinchief 5 Posted January 17, 2025 Posted January 17, 2025 I have added multiple movies recently, and most all are showing two "versions" with each version pointing to the same exact file. Note: I add " - 1080p" naming to all my media files to avoid having to add it later should I add multiple versions (habit). This is not causing a usability issue as I can select either version and the media plays fine. If I remove the .nfo file, move the directory out of the monitored library location, scan library files, add it back ... it only recognized ONE version. This seems to only cause issues when adding multiple movies in the same library scan. Is there a way to clean up my entire library without having to manually move, rescan, add?
austinchief 5 Posted January 17, 2025 Author Posted January 17, 2025 Just realized I posted this in Emby Server Synology ... however, my Emby Server is on Linux and access my library directories on a Synology server
Luke 42077 Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 Hi, are you able to get this to happen again when adding a new movie?
austinchief 5 Posted January 21, 2025 Author Posted January 21, 2025 7 minutes ago, Luke said: Hi, are you able to get this to happen again when adding a new movie? It happens sometimes … not sure when or why. I can fix it, but not sure if it has something to do with targeted library scans. Sometimes I browse to movies -> folders and only scan the sub-folder. I have my movies organized in sub-folders by Letter (0-9, A, B, C … X, Y, Z). Maybe when I do sub-folder scans is when it happens.
Luke 42077 Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 @austinchiefSorry I'm not quite clear on the answer. Have you been able to reproduce with a brand new movie?
