Moe Manley 2 Posted January 14, 2025 Posted January 14, 2025 Is there a way to add live streaming channels to EMBY that I subscribe to? I subscribe to a number of streaming services that have live TV channels. I would like to add these channels to EMBY as a one stop for all my live TV options. It seems I just need the URL and my username and password in the EMBY to add the stream. Could I find the URL by inspecting the page that is streaming? Is there a way for EMBY to log in?
Carlo 4560 Posted January 18, 2025 Posted January 18, 2025 @Moe Manley Did you see Luke's question? Generally speaking, if the service makes a m3u/m3u8 playlist of DRM free channels available, you can likely load them in Live TV. Ideally, the playlist would have a companion xml file with EPG information as well to load on your server. Just an FYI, Premiere subscribers in the US, CA & UK have access to Emby's Guide data which covers Sat, Cable and OTA channels. @SunD0wn has shown you the basic way of loading these files. You can get a lot more information about Live TV and how to set it up here in our Knowledge Base. https://emby.media/support/articles/Live-TV.html
justinrh 260 Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 @Carlo FYI, the URL in "See examples of m3u files at http://xmtvplayer.com/build-m3u-file" is 404. @sa2000
Carlo 4560 Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 404 for me as well. Where did you see that link?
