patel8786 2 Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 Okay, so I'm late to the party here but from what I've read the Missing Episode option has been removed from being inline with the show to being available in the overflow menu (3 dots). There are links on the forum to the actual blog post or webpage but the links are broken so I couldn't read the actual post. This means that I have to keep checking for missing episodes and if I don't check each show regularly then I won't know about it. Also the missing episodes are not limited to the seasons that I've downloaded (I delete seasons that I've already watched and will never watch again, as I'm sure most people do) So for example if there's 10 seasons of a show, all 10 seasons are shown in 1 list and I have to scroll through 100's of episodes to get to the bottom to figure out if I'm missing something or not. AGAIN I have to do this all the time even if I'm not missing any episodes. The metadata manager is worse because it's got all episodes, from all seasons from all shows, which for me is 15808 episodes. Of what value is this? So in the other posts it was mentioned that the database/hardware was the reason for this and the above alternatives have been made available, however I don't see this adding anywhere close to the functionality that was available before. Essentially for me this feature is not available on Emby.

Luke 42078 Posted January 14, 2025 Posted January 14, 2025 hi, have you tried right clicking on a season and selecting view missing episodes?
patel8786 2 Posted January 14, 2025 Author Posted January 14, 2025 Hi Tried that now. It seems to only display per season if I have more than 1 season. So if a show is on season 10 and I've watched 9 seasons and have season 10 only then it doesn't seem to be available to me. However even when available there are two major issues. Going season by season or even show by show is extremely time consuming This creates a manual overhead that nobody needs. I'd need to check every show every time to figure out if I'm missing something Is there a possibility of adding the old feature back (where you can see the missing episode alongside the other episodes). Or when you click play on a show and the next episode is missing, before playing the next available episode display a warning. Anything that takes out the manual aspect of checking for missing episodes 2
bobaldis 24 Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 Agreed, should just show when viewing episodes and yes definately warn if watching an episode out of sequence. This would only enhance the user experience. 1
