Emby for Android TV not letting me sign in to the user.

Well, I've got no idea. I'm reasonably certain it's not my network. I'm down to the only possibility that it's the device not allowing me to sign the user in, even though it sees and brings up the user list. Every other wifi device I have signs out and back in as you'd expect it would, so it's just this projector.

I've got it working by signing in whilst connected by wire vie the usb\ nic dongle. It remembers the login settings so when I disconnect the wire and reconnect over wifi, it just goes straight into emby and away we go. I guess it's break again when emby next updates.

No permanent solution for this one, but that's for the help all the same.

I'm having similar issues on Emby for Android TV, where if i try to sign-in using the remote controller for TV, i get a message saying invalid credentials. However if i connect a PC-keyboard to the TV i'm able to sign in.

Tested on a Sony and Samsung TV.

I should also mention that this seems a bit sporadic as well. Sometimes it works just fine, other times it won't work at all, but it works 100% of the time with the keyboard connected.

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Thanks.

For Windows, you need to purchase a plug in to see the .heif image.  I think Apple users may not notice an issue.  If you want everyone to comment on your post, please don't use .heif images.

Also Safari inhibits access to just IP addresses.  It may block you alltogether.  Try opening an incognito browser window and using the http:// before the IP address.  Or try another browser brand.  Safari has gotten to be so security conscience, that most of my clients tell me not even to bother to test for Safari, becuase they don't want to spend extra funds for the online eCommerce site to be Safari friendly.

Hmm... Okay so i've been looking through the guide, but i'm wondering if there are any guides for us who are using NGINX Proxy Manager (the GUI version)? Thanks.

Update: I think i've got it working. I'll be testing some more to see if this maybe have solved the issue.

Would you be able to share your solution?

You basically have to follow this guide to get it working if you are using NGINX:

If you use NGINX Proxy Manager (like me) just follow the guide from the user "weble" on page 11.
