inzombyac 69 Posted January 10, 2025 Posted January 10, 2025 Hi, I'm having an issue with the new Microsoft Store app for Windows 11. Initially I can start the app login and it works fine. Whenever I put my PC to sleep and try to restart the application it never launches correctly. I can see the icon popup in the taskbar but then it immediately closes. I have to uninstall the application, reinstall, and log in again which is rather painful. I found that I can also resolve the issue by going to into the \AppData\Local\Packages\EmbyMedia.EmbyTheater_svmepx4c03f7m\Settings folder and deleting the settings.dat file. However, this forces me to login again which is not ideal. I have the latest Microsoft Store version (2.207.0) but this has plagued me since the new version came out. Any help on this issue? I found a log file in \AppData\Local\Packages\EmbyMedia.EmbyTheater_svmepx4c03f7m\LocalCache\logs but all it has is basic info: 2025-01-10 07:56:08.668 Info Application: App details Name: Emby Windows Version: 2.207.2.0 Device Name: *********** Device Id: 35b2f6fd-9d1c-acca-07cd-e4566492655c Package: EmbyMedia.EmbyTheater_svmepx4c03f7m Data Path: C:\Users\******\AppData\Local\Packages\EmbyMedia.EmbyTheater_svmepx4c03f7m\LocalState\data Log Path: C:\Users\******\AppData\Local\Packages\EmbyMedia.EmbyTheater_svmepx4c03f7m\LocalCache\logs Webroot: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\EmbyMedia.EmbyTheater_2.207.2.0_x64__svmepx4c03f7m\web OS Info:: Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.22631.0 6.0.36 OS/App:: 64bit/64bit
inzombyac 69 Posted January 15, 2025 Author Posted January 15, 2025 As a follow up, I found that I can resolve this issue by removing just the settings.dat file in \AppData\Local\Packages\EmbyMedia.EmbyTheater_svmepx4c03f7m\Settings. This at least keeps me logged in. It's still a pain to remove this file each time, but I have automated that step with a bat file in the meantime.
