No subtitles for The Count Of Monte Cristo (2024)

I have a copy of the new Count Of Monte Cristo movie and it's in French. Normally no big deal cause can grab subtitles, but for some reason I'm being told there are no English subs available. I know there are subs cause when I used MKVToolNix to correct the naming and the metadata name I added English subs that play fine on my PC. I expected them not to work in the app on the TV, but I did expect to be able to find English subs using CC in the app. I have all the subtitle plugins offered and am signed in to the ones I need to be for them to work correctly. Any thoughts on what might be happening? Thanks

Hi, if you edited the file after importing then try refreshing the metadata on it.

Thanks for the quick reply much appreciated. My bad actually. I missed seeing the subtitle dialog just above the progressbar in the tv app. I switch it from of to I think it said subrip and I have them now. Thanks again.
